In our 4th episode of Deeper Unplugged, Jeremy Jones meets up with Xavier De Le Rue in Bruson, Switzerland. They're plan is to shred a 3000m vertical drop zone in the French Alps called the Swiss Face. They pull an all-night hike and arrive at the base at 5am. As the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour descended on Laax for the 6Star Burton European Open we saw a tour de force from Finnish rider, Peetu Piiroinen, who managed to place first in both slopestyle and halfpipe. Norwegian wunderkind Mikkel Bang threw down an exceptional performance on the fantastic slopestyle course placing second, while Iouri Podladtchikov managed to place 3rd in the pipe which moved him up to 5th on the TTR World Snowboard Tour Rankings.

Celebrating the 11th annual Burton European Open Snowboarding Championships, event organizers have created a “Circus” theme to highlight the fun and daring spirit of the sport! Today’s and tomorrow’s stars will dazzle viewers with their bag of tricks and wow you with their performance in the slopestyle and halfpipe. The best riders of this 2nd stop of the Burton Global Open Series and 6Star TTR event will snatch a piece of the US$125.000 prize purse. With 8 days of high level competitions and 400 competitors, the BEO is the biggest snowboard event in Europe.
